Work

Greene King (Sep 2022 – To Date) – Digital Merchandiser
Managing digital content, merchandising and campaign activity across Greene King’s managed pub brands, including Hungry Horse, Chef & Brewer, Farmhouse Inns and Greene King pubs.

Responsible for CMS content delivery, landing page builds, homepage updates, campaign merchandising, SEO hygiene, publishing governance and content optimisation across high-traffic websites and booking journeys.

Key work includes seasonal campaigns, conversion-led homepage tests, commercial content updates, CRO support and performance reporting using tools such as GA4, Looker Studio and Microsoft Clarity.
Highlights include supporting record digital performance, improving customer journeys across web, app and WiFi touchpoints, and helping deliver measurable growth in bookings, engagement and online sales.

Mitie (Nov 2020 – Sep 2022) – Marketing Executive
I am responsible for online and offline content, writing news articles and blogs, press releases, sales collateral and industry newsletters. I also initiate and undertake email marketing campaigns and manage social media activity as well as website content, ensuring SEO compliance.

I have also written and submitted a number of industry award nominations for both Mitie Security and Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services, resulting in 15 awards wins over a 12-month period.

The Deltic Group (May 2015 – Nov 2020) – Website Content Executive
I managed and maintained website content and online digital-marketing across a large number of entertainment and leisure based e-commerce websites, producing engaging original copy, using HTML and CSS to create engaging landing pages and e-mail marketing campaigns, and utilising analytical tools like Google Analytics to track the success of our products and web presence.

Under my tutelage, the design of all of the Deltic Group’s e-mail marketing improved exponentially, with new designs being introduced that were optimised for both desktop and mobile devices, resulting in more successful campaigns across the board.

I was required to design, code and write copy to support national e-mail campaigns from some of the industry’s top brands, including Moet & Chandon, Ciroc, Russian Standard, Kraken and Captain Morgan’s.

I also introduced a comprehensive e-mail testing solution in the form of Litmus, to more rigorously test our e-mails across a number of browsers, e-mail clients and devices, ensuring the best customer experience regardless of platform.

I have used tools such as TweetDeck, HootSuite and CrowdControlHQ to manage and moderate account activity and content across a number of social media pages.

The Luminar Group (January 2011 – May 2015) – Web Executive
I created, managed and maintained website content and online digital-marketing across a large number of entertainment and leisure based e-commerce websites, producing engaging original copy, using HTML and CSS code to create engaging landing pages and e-mail marketing campaigns and utilising analytical tools like Google Analytics to track the success of our products and web presence.

I was have also been given the opportunity to produce radio advertisements for a high-profile tour featuring Calvin Harris and produce press releases for the Echo Trust charity.

Pure Xbox (January 2013 – October 2013) – Staff Writer
I wrote and edited online video game content – including reviews, features and opinion pieces – for purexbox.com, a specialist gaming website focused on Microsoft’s Xbox platforms, and part of the Nlife Ltd group of websites.

Game Group PLC (September 2009 – September 2010) – Sales Assistant
Responsible for selling product, meeting daily targets and handling large sums of money. Was also required to close the retail outlet, which involved cashing up and ensuring all marketing displays were up to date and met the specific company requirements.

Johnston Press (April 2009 – May 2009) – Trainee Journalist
This was a work placement as part of my University studies. I was required to write a number of articles and opinion pieces for a Milton Keynes based local newspaper, sub-edit the work of other people, assist with the formatting and design of the publication using Quark Xpress, and adhere to strict deadlines.
